Tony King, Chairman
Tony King was appointed as a Director in October 2003, taking on the role of Chairman in October 2008. Tony is a business consultant based in Christchurch, specialising in the management of commercial processes and activities in the transport, contracting, energy and extractive industry sectors for corporate and local authority clients. Tony holds an Honours Degree in Mining Engineering and has extensive experience in senior operational and corporate management roles. He has been consulting since 2000 through his company Option One Limited.
Derek Crombie, Director
Derek Crombie was appointed as a Director in October 2003. With an Honours degree in Civil Engineering and a strong background in the management of large infrastructure projects in New Zealand and South East Asia, Derek is well qualified to provide sound advice on City Care's business sectors. In addition to his business, contract and project management skills, Derek's areas of expertise include strategic planning and risk management. Derek is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Management.
Margaret Devlin, Director
Margaret was appointed as a Director in October 2008. Margaret holds an Honours Degree in Finance and Business Studies from the University of Ulster and is a Chartered Environmentalist. Margaret was previously the Managing Director of South East Water Limited and has substantial experience within the United Kingdom water sector, having represented the water industry at local, national and European level. She has been an active contributor to the development of the water industry agenda through effective stakeholder management with Government, regulators and investors.
Hugh Martyn, Director
Hugh Martyn was appointed as a Director in March 2005. Hugh started his career as a solicitor before moving into corporate management roles. In addition to a Law degree, Hugh holds a Master of Business Administration. Hugh has substantial experience in senior management roles across a number of major companies including PGG Wrightson, Invacare Corporation (Australasia) and Dynamic Controls Ltd (a subsidiary of Invacare).
Trevor Thornton, Director
Trevor Thornton was appointed as a Director in October 2004. Trevor is a Director of the Christchurch Office of Grant Thornton, Chartered Accountants and Chairman of Grant Thornton New Zealand. He works closely with a range of companies to improve their business performance and strengthen their management and governance procedures. Trevor is heavily involved in assisting businesses in the setting and achieving of strategic outcomes, maximising operating performance in both the short and longer term, and in implementing best practice.
