Time:     9 am – 1 pm

Where:  Styx River Catchment, Canterbury

This project was the Student Volunteer Army's (SVA) annual The Big Give event, which this year involved the volunteers clearing overgrown vegetation, planting new native trees and shrubs and cleaning up a section of the Styx River.

The Big Give 2019 also marked the commercial launch of Eco Gard, a new 100% biodegradable, durable and sustainable plant protector, which was invented by 12-year-old entrepreneur Julia Christensen.
