Where: Ouruhia Reserve (Chenery Avenue, off Marshland Road)
This project involves planting 3,300 trees and shrubs at the Ouruhia Reserve as part of the Ministry for Primary Industries initiative to plant one billion trees in New Zealand over the next 10 years. The Student Volunteer Army, Citycare and students from Ouruhia School will be playing their part in helping to reclaim our forest heritage.
The Ouruhia Reserve Planting Day marks the very first Community Guardians community event.
