Citycare Property has secured the contract for scheduled maintenance work on the new Novotel Hotel at Christchurch Airport, with an anticipated start date of mid to late November.

Although the Novotel Hotel contract is with Hind Management, Citycare Property has strong existing facilities management contracts on the airport campus with Christchurch International Airport Limited (CIAL).

According to Abigail Clements, Citycare Property Building Warrant of Fitness and Scheduled Maintenance Planning Co-Ordinator, CIAL and Citycare share an ongoing campus improvement plan which involves better asset management, scheduling and resourcing, and ongoing and continuing improvements in facilities management.

Securing the hotel contract, a first in this sector for Citycare, is a nod to the substantial and long term clients that Citycare Property manages across the country. With a commitment to great relationships with key and critical contractors and a strong internal team covering many different maintenance types and with a significant spectrum of skills and experience, Citycare Property is well positioned to undertake facilities management contracts of this nature.

Citycare Property will be responsible for co-ordinating scheduled works and managing sub-contractors and trade staff working on site at the hotel. The contract also includes ensuring all compliance requirements are met.

Core Citycare Property team members involved with the contract include Steven Pearce, Abigail Clements, Corrin Holland, Dianna Young and Clayton Stack, the Divisional Manager for the CIAL contract.
