Established in 1999, City Care is a Council Controlled Trading Organisation (CCTO) with an annual turnover of more than $330 million and a workforce of around 1500. The company is fully owned by Christchurch City Holdings Ltd, the commercial and investment arm of Christchurch City Council.
We provide infrastructure services to over two million New Zealanders from 17 locations throughout the country. We keep an eye on the future, working with our clients to create and maintain new infrastructure and amenity assets which enhance our communities and enrich the lives of those living within them.

Governance and Management
City Care's Board of Directors is appointed by the shareholder. The Board is responsible for the proper direction and control of the company's activities. The Board's primary objective is to build long-term shareholder value, taking into account due consideration of other stakeholder interests. All members of the Board are independent non-executive Directors.
City Care's Executive Management team provides strategic leadership, direction and operational goal-setting for the company. Members share a common strength in leadership, specialist operational knowledge and strategic management experience. The team favour an inclusive management style with a focus on leading by example.
